Fujifilm to open a branch office in Myanmar

Japan-based Fujifilm Holdings Corporation is planning to open a branch office in Myanmar to increase its sales and services sectors in the country.
 
The corporation, under Fujifilm Myanmar Ltd., will facilitate sales and services sectors in Myanmar and has registered with the Directorate of Investment and Companies Administration on July 24.

Fuji has exported and sold its products before and its franchise company in Myanmar was Mya Zaw Co. Ltd.


Fuji Photo Film Co., Ltd. was established in 1934 with the aim of being the first Japanese producer of photographic film. At present, the company is expanding to other high-tech products in addition to camera and film production business.

Fujifilm is now developing high-tech products such as digital cameras, 3D digital X-ray, film, cameras, medical systems, graphic systems, photo finishing products, motion picture products, optical devices, recording media, industrial products, image management and semiconductor materials.

Moreover Fuji Xerox, a joint venture owned by Fuji Photo and U.K-based Rank Xerox Limited (now Xerox Limited) is already working in Myanmar since April. Fuji Xerox is mainly producing copiers, printers and medical equipments.
