All border checkpoints will be issued individual trading cards (ITCs) starting April 22 for the small traders conduct their trade accodingly and legally.
The border trade department has issued
only in Tamu, Muse, Myawaddy and Tarchileik border checkpoints before
April 22 and the small traders issued ITCs worth of about 600 million
kyats.
The ITCs start in November 2012 and most traders registered at Tamu and Muse border checkpoints.
“The department has issued only four
border checkpoints recently but now we will be issued the ITCs in all
border checkpoints by April 22,” said Nyunt Aung, Deputy Director
General of Border Trade Department under the Ministry of Commerce.
The border trade amount is up to US$3.8
billion due to the seizing of illegal trade routes and the issuing of
ITCs to individual small traders this year.
