The tickets will be sold until November 30 and will be available in Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon and Mandalay.
VIP seats for foreigners will cost US$ 50 while ordinary seats will cost US$ 30. For local spectators, VIP seats will cost Ks 5,000 and ordinary seats will be Ks 3,000. Personal ID is required to purchase tickets. The tickets are not transferable and reselling is not permitted.
The opening ceremony will be held at Wanna Theikhti stadium on December 12. The closing ceremony will be held at the same stadium on December 22. About 10,000 volunteers will participate in the opening ceremony and tickets for football matches will be available, sources say.
