New circular train started its service on 1 November and won people’s interest.
Instead of ordinary running circular train by Myanmar Railways (MR), six small carriages upgraded at Myitnge carriage workshop are being use at the moment.
“We are making the carriages as comfortable as we can for the travelers. MR will charge 300 Ks per ticket for domestic traveler and US $ 1 for foreigner at new circular railway. Launching of new circular train was inaugurated by the Minister for Railways on 1 November. Although it is the very first day of launching, travelers is so many,” said Khin Maung Tun, in charge of the circular train conductor.
At the new circular train, benches are made of fiber and six fans are installed at each carriage.
“It is very comfortable to take a train with fans and rings for holdings. But, if the train cost reduces to the present amount, people will prefer train to buses in the future. Because taking buses nowadays require a lot of time,” said a man living in Insein.
