Wood wins Asian deal

WOOD Group has won a $13 million (£8.4m) contract to overhaul and upgrade three gas turbine engines used by a power company in Burma.

The contract is the first big win in the Asian country for Aberdeen-based Wood Group's gas turbine services division. The work will help stabilise electrical power for critical supply in Burma's Yangon region.
