Singapore-based Centre for Management Technology (CMT) announced that
Union Minister U Khin Maung Soe, Ministry of Electric Power will
deliver the Opening Address for the 2nd Myanmar Power Summit to be held in Yangon from September 23 to 25.
U Aung Than Oo, Deputy Minister, Ministry of Electric Power and U Min
Thaw, Head of Office, Ministry of Electric Power will also attend the
event.
The high-profile event organized by the CMT will deliberate upon
Myanmar’s electricity power demand and supply gap, explore solutions and
draft future road-maps.
Foreign private sector participants include Mayer Brown JSM
(Singapore), Tata Power Company Ltd., ADL Capital Advisors, Barons
Machinery & Engineering Co., Amata B.Grimm Power Ltd., Sumitomo
Mitsui Banking Corporation, among others.
The CMT also announced that they will organize the 'Myanmar Oil &
Gas Summit' from September 24 to 26 in Yangon. The event will highlight
key aspects of Myanmar’s oil and gas sector especially oil and gas
fiscal regime, developments on current onshore and offshore blocks
bidding, best practices in EITI and environmental issues, and
infrastructure road-map for energy delivery.
His Excellency U Myint Zaw, Deputy Minister of Energy, Myanmar will deliver the Keynote Address for the event.
