Korean electrical firms seek sale representatives in Myanmar

The Republic of Korea are seeking local representatives for technical cooperation and to help distribute electrical power equipments in Myanmar’s market, according to the local businessmen.

The Korean electrical power firms led by Korea West Power Corporation held a discussion with Myanmar entrepreneurs at Sedona Hotel in Yangon on September 3.


“We establish the association separately to manufacture major and minor electrical power equipments. We want to import and sell our electrical power products to the market in Myanmar after making technical cooperation joining hands with Myanmar’s enterprises,” Chang Se Chang, Chairman of Korea Electrical Manufacturers Association said.

Sang Keun, AHN, Chairman of Korea Engineering Company, also said that they manufactured the electrical power products by using engine fires system. The product would be a new for Myanmar but foreign countries were now using the products. They were now utilizing the system at the places of gas-boiler and steamed-water. They wanted to direct distribute their products to Myanmar’s market or through a sale representative.

The Korean electrical firms are now distributing and selling electrical power products in the US, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam.
