Toyota Motor Corporation, the eleventh-largest company in the world, will open more spare parts and service centers in Nay Pyi Taw, the capital of Myanmar, and Mandalay, second largest city, an official from Toyota Tsusho Asia Pacific (T.T.A.S) Company said.
“Toyota is planning to extend its market
in Myanmar and open spare parts and service centers in Nay Pyi Taw and
Mandalay in the next year,” Myo Myint Thein, General Manager of T.T.A.S
also said.
The company is also preparing to expand
its markets in developing countries such as Myanmar, Kingnyar and
Cambodia and will carry out economic cooperation with Daihatsu
Corporation in those markets, according to the Bloomberg.
The first Toyota’s spare parts and service centers has been opened in Bahan Township in Yangon.
Although Toyota Company wishes to open
Car Sale Centers in Myanmar, the foreign company will not carry out the
trade according to the Myanmar’s economic and trading policy.
T.T.A.S is a joint venture between
Toyota Tsusho Corporation (TTC) and Myanmar Company, Aye & Sons.
Toyota holds 75 percent of the stakes in T.T.A.S and 25 percent in Aye
& Sons.
TTC is one of the trading of Toyota Group and opens the branch office at Sedona Hotel in Yangon.
T.T.A.S is mainly operating the functions of import and selling of Toyota brand vehicles and spare parts.
At present, Toyota brands are Camry 2013 model, Hilux, Land Cruiser, Prado and Coaster imported through the T.T.A.S.
Other Japan-based Motor Companies such as Nissan, Honda and Suzuki are preparing to extend their markets in Myanmar.
The service centers of Toyota, Nissan,
Honda, Suzuki and Marcede Motor Companies are already opened in Yangon
and Mitsubishi is also planning to open the service center.
