The exchange rate for US dollar has strengthened against the Myanmar kyats bringing the rate down to 900 kyats per dollar.
The Central Bank of Myanmar floated its currency last April according to Thein Phyu Exchange counters.
The rate has risen gradually and it was
902 kyats per dollar yesterday. The dollar fall down to 900 kyats in
November 2010 and it went back to 900 kyats last June.
The exchange rate has been played by the foreign exchange counters in Thein Phyu based on the Central Bank's official exchange.
The rate is played up to 0.8% of the
Central Bank's reference rate and down to - 0.8%. The rate will be
varied between 0.3 % to - 0.3 % in the interbank market.
