Myanmar will chair at the 5th East Asia Business Forum-EABC which will be held in Tianjin, China from June 18 to 19.
According to a source who attended the
meeting of 24th East Asia Business Council held at the office of
Republic of the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and
Industry- UMFCCI, the forum aims to be a platform for the exchanges of
the business people of ASEAN and China, Japan and South Korea on the
issues of common interest.
“Myanmar has participated in EABC’s
seminars since 2003. The UMFCCI attended as member in 2007. The business
representatives from ASEAN+3 countries exchanged views on development
of businesses. In that year, we had a plan to draw the economic
programs for development of small and medium enterprises (SMEs),”
Vice-Chairman Zaw Min Win of UMFCCI said.
The East Asia Business Forum has started
in 2007 and the attendants to the forum will be the commercial chambers
and delegation of entrepreneurs of the ASEAN countries. It will be a
good opportunity for companies of Tianjin to explore the market in
ASEAN.
