Employment and Social Security will pen agreement and send the female
workers during fifth time recruitment, Thet Naing Oo, Deputy Director
General of the Ministry said.
“The Ministry has its own guideline to
send female workers abroad. If they want to appoint female employees,
they have to hire two female employees at the same time. The company has
at least five female employees,” he continued.
Moreover Win Myint, Managing Director of
state owned employment agency said, “They are small and medium
enterprises and they have restricted in recruitment. If they want to
hire the female employees, they have to promise not to make them work as
a servant. If not, their life is not safe,” he said.
The Ministry only officially allowed the
female workers to work in Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand. Currently
about 6,000 workers are working in South Korea under the EPS.
