Myanmar to introduce 3D mapping and lighting to museums

Myanmar is planning to introduce 3D mapping and lighting systems in some cultural museums in Yangon and Bagan, according to a local digital firm.

Nay Kyel Oo Company said they will cooperate with Singapore-based ST Electronics Company in supplying the technology which is still new to museums in Southeast Asia.

"We are also planning to introduce the digital technologies for teaching children. They will enable making videos of the school lessons so that the visual images help the children learn better. It also involves teaching softwares and games. They will be our free services," said an official from Nay Kyel Oo.

3D mapping and lighting technology enable museums to display 3D images of valuable artefacts using digital lighting.

Nay Kyel Oo Company is also offering the 3D mapping and lighting technologies for private art galleries and art shows in Myanmar.
