Rangoon’s tallest-yet building set to go up near Bogyoke market

According  to Yangon city development committee Shwe Taung Company and Yangon City Development Committee will sign a land leasing contract of constructing 34 storey international standard building in Bogyoke open air market.


The signing between Shwe Taung Company and open-air market will take part soon. We cannot say the exact date but it will coming soon,Head of Deprtment of Market Department of Yangon City Development Committee said.

It is located at a spacious land in the corner of Bogyoke Aung San road and Shwedagon Pagoda Road and currently is using for car parking lot.

The rental charges and duration of time will only know at the time of signing, he  added that.

At that building there will be advanced apartments, offices and shopping centres and it will be one of the tallest buildings in Yangon.

But people are fear of shadowing this building to Shwedagon Pgoda as it situates near Shwedagon Pagoda and it is higher than the Pagoda.

The building which are going to build at open-air market  is not located in restricted area. A mile away from Shwedagon Pagodais banned from building stories higher than 6 storey.
