Mitsubishi Motors Corp., Mitsubishi Corp., Yoma
Strategic Holdings Ltd. and First Myanmar Investment Co. announced Feb.
15 that they have signed an agreement to establish an after-sales
service network for Mitsubishi vehicles in Myanmar.
Since the recent deregulation of automobile importation in Myanmar, a number of MMC vehicles have been distributed there through the used car market, making it a priority for the company to establish an official after-sales service network as soon as possible.
Under this agreement, MMC will establish an official service center first in Yangon, then in Mandalay and Nay Pyi Taw. Each service center will be staffed by trained and qualified service technicians using genuine MMC parts.
Myanmar has the economic potential to become one of the largest markets in the ASEAN region, and MMC said it is eager to build and strengthen its brand image there by establishing the after-sales service network.
