MP International Singapore reports that 200 travex booths have bee sold and more than 350 buyers and media have also submitted their registrations online for selection as hosted buyers and media.
Representatives from ATF 2015 event managers MP Singapore and Myanmar Ventures Group were in Yangon and Nay Pyi Taw in May to meet with members of Myanmar Tourism Marketing and Union of Myanmar Travel Association (UMTA), and hoteliers in Myanmar respectively.
The team also visited Thailand Travel Mart Plus 2014 in June to promote ATF and host a press conference.
There are two important tips for those wishing to participate in the event.
Sellers need to secure their booths early and all delegates will need to secure their hotel accommodation through officials channels as room capacity will be stretched to the limit to the accommodate up to 2,000 trade visitors during the ATF week.
There are three hotel zones in host city Nay Pyi Taw – Dekkhinathiri, Uttarathiri and Pohbbathiri. To assist delegates in their selection of hotel accommodation, the ATF Organising Committee has identified 16 official hotels for ATF 2015, which offer a wide range of room types and prices. Delegates are advised to book their accommodation as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
Myanmar is the host for the first time in the event’s 34-year history.
