Speaking at a workshop for One Stop Services and e-Government, Maung Maung Zaw, the head of the YCDC building department, explained their plan to take services online.
"We will start free application online service for construction permits in the beginning of 2014. Respective departments will process the applications and make replies promptly. Currently, we are offering online services regarding land grants and ownership," said Maung Maung Zaw.
Construction permits are currently applied for in person at the YCDC offices. Certain online application services of the YCDC are now available at www.ycdc.com.mm.
However, access to online application services is still limited to only several townships. The YCDC said it will include more townships soon.
