Tour companies all over the world have already started market promotion of tour services for Myanmar trips.
Apart from Asia, tour travel from the
United States and the Europe are now selling tour schedules to Myanmar.
Some companies have started Myanmar tour only this year.
“Myanmar is a new tour destination. It
is a new tour schedule for those who are wishing to explore new
experiences. It is a country full of attractions,” said sales director
Stig Elling of Star Tour, which is the first sales of tour schedule for
Myanmar.
Star Tour has now started inviting to
the travellers around the world to visit Myanmar in the coming winter
season. The company expects 400 to 500 foreign tourists to be
transported to Myanmar.
A travel company “Passports” which is
based in California is arranging four Southeast Asia tours including
Myanmar. In its arranged schedule, five days will be spent in Vietnam,
three days in Cambodia, and four days each in Thailand and Myanmar.
Abercrombie & Kent travel company is
selling Myanmar tour schedules that will start on October 2 and
launching market promotion through its official website. Abercrombie
& Kent travel company is opening its branches in London, Illinois
(USA), and Melbourne (Australia). They have named their trip as
Treasures of Myanmar. Myanmar tour schedule will include Yangon,
Mandalay, Bagan, Inlay and other places of interest and the trip will
last for 11 days. Bangkok-based Backyard Travel had also made
announcement on Myanmar trip on June 26. It named the trip as “The Best
of Myanmar” and it takes eight days. The trip covers Yangon, Bagan,
Innwa, Amarapura, and Inlay Lake, and promotion period continues till
September 30.
Since 2011, tourists around the world
have increased interests to visit Myanmar amid political changes going
on. For the first time, tourists’ arrivals to Myanmar exceeded one
million in 2012.
At present, Myanmar is a unique place
can capture the attention of international tourists. It is expected
Myanmar increases up to 40 percent compared with that of the previous
year.
