Myanmar will host the Investment-Trade-Tourism Ho Chi Minh City-Yangon Seminar on June 6 in Yangon to promote investment, according to the Republic of Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (RUMFCCI).
The seminar is targeting Vietnamese
investors to do businesses in Myanmar especially in oil and gas sector
as well as forest sector.
Deputy mayor Nguyen Thi Hong of Ho Chi Minh City will be attending the seminar along with 45 Vietnamese investors.
The seminar will highlight oil and gas,
forest products, tourism, construction, electricity, foodstuff,
agricultural products, real estate, garment and textile.
Myanmar investors wishing to attend the
seminar must register at the RUMFCCI before June 5. Up to April of this
year, Vietnam has already invested more than $511 millions in six
sectors of Myanmar businesses.
