Myanmar to host investment conference in February

Yangon will host a conference focusing on the trade and investment relations between the US and Myanmar on February 25, the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI) said in a statement.

Among those expected to attend are members of the Washington-based American Trade Association and the representatives from famous US companies such as Asia Global Xpress, Cargill, Chevron, eBay, EMC Corporation, ConocoPhilips, Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP.

Sources also said World Bank representatives will be at the conference to discuss its development assistance programme for the country.

Myanmar businessmen who want to attend the conference will have to register at UMFCCI before February 22.
