British a cappella group Black Voice to perform in Myanmar

The popular British female a cappella group Black Voices will perform in Myanmar for the first time this month.

“We are very happy to be able to invite Black Voices, one of the top European groups, to share the stage with Gitameit,” said an official from the British Council.

Organised by the British Council and Gitameit, a non-profit music school from Yangon, the free concert will be held at the Strand Hotel in Yangon at 6:30 pm on November 20.

Black Voices will also participate in a music workshop with Gitameit, the University of Culture, the Institute of Theology’s music department, the Legacy Music Academy, and a Yangon-based choir group on November 19.

Black Voices will discuss and teach a cappella vocal music during the workshop.
