Joint venture to build Yangon mega condo

Plans are underway to build a 27-floor high-rise in Yangon to meet a growing demand for luxury apartments as Myanmar starts to attract more foreign investment and capital.

The condominium will be built in joint-venture between Living Square Co. Ltd. from Myanmar and companies from Australia, Japan and Thailand and will include a shopping centre, fitness centre and coffee shop complete with a helicopter landing pad. Building is due to start in June.

“It will take over two years to finish the building. We are doing soil test now,” said a technical manager from Living Square Co. Ltd.

The multistory apartments will be located in Kabar Aye Pagoda Rd. and will range from 1,100 square feet to bigger ones of over 3,000 square feet. The estimated price will be between 300 million and 750 million kyat for each apartment.
