The Central Bank of Myanmar has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Malaysian Bank Negara for the development in banking services in Myanmar according to the statement of the Central Bank of Myanmar.
As the agreement, the Malaysian Bank will assist in technology
knowhow and development of human resources. Myanmar is signing with
other regional central banks to meet the ASEAN standard, the Central
Bank of Myanmar said. It is also working on account transfer for a large
amount with regional banks.
Last June, the Central Bank signed a MOU with Bank of Thailand to
work closely for liquidity forecasting, money reporting system and
reserve money targeting.
