Global audit firms are now entering Myanmar market which has been isolated for decades and recently opened up, sources reported.
Among them, two of “the Big Four
auditors” of the world or the world largest professional service
providers, the Deloitte, and the Ernst & Young are planning entry
into Myanmar, an observer said.
Meanwhile, the other two giants, PwC
based in the UK and KPMG based in Netherlands have also opened its
branch offices in Yangon in November.
The companies said a large number of
international businesses start coming into Myanmar and will continue to
do so as the sanctions from the Western communities and the US have been
eased. They said they will provide necessary services for those
international businesses to invest in Myanmar.
Their services will range from accounting and audit to consultancy services like advising legal requirements and tax, and so on.
